Next to a small creek tributing to Río Madre de Dios, this Geogenanthus poeppigii (Commelinaceae) were found. It’s a small, slightly succulent plant with interesting colorful leaves.

Like most species of this family, it has linear leaves and the stem has slightly swollen nodes. They are all herbaceous. Tradescantia is the largest genus of the family and also the one I mostly use of the Commelinaceae.
