Colorful lake and bromeliads.

Lagunas Llanganucos consist of two small lakes, this is the first one, called Chinancocha. At 3850m, it sits right below Nevado Huascarán, that with 6768m is the highest mountain in the tropics. The steep, bare and moist mountain sides that surround the Quebrada Llanguanuco have a lot of plants growing on them, among others many, many bromeliads.

On the way up to Llanganuco, these vertical cliffs where full of bromeliads as far as the eye could see.
